Although SWiB is not an official public repository, we have made efforts to work to the following key national standards, recommendations and agendas for good archival practice:
- BS5454:2000 Recommendations for the Storage and Exhibition of Archival Documents.
- ISAD(G) International Standard for Archival Description:2000
- The National Archives Standard for Records Repositories:2004
- The Standard for Access to Archives:2008 (The National Council on Archives)
- ILFA Inspiring Learning for All (Museums, Libraries and Archives Council)
Our qualified Archivist is currently undertaking registration with the Society of Archivists and has attended/will be attending a series of official training events pertaining to the ongoing care and presentation of archives.
